This year the Presbyterian Build flew by with great weather! The house was dedicated in September!

Meet the Family!
Jay (Steve) Hobaugh has a love affair with food and that’s good news for Habitat! He’s been a cook at Applebees in West Lafayette for 8 years, however, his obsession is not confined to work. He roasts his own coffee and is on a journey for that “perfect” cup! He admits to making a pretty mean homemade pizza and states that his “Chinese stir fry skills are currently under some strong development!” I’m sure we can supply him with plenty of taste testers! When he’s not cooking, Steve enjoys making soy candles from scratch. He has also built a computer and likes to do computer repair.
Steve is the proud father of two children. Emily (10) just finished fourth grader at Klondike Elementary School. She is active in Girl Scouts and loves art, especially drawing. Jay Jr., (9) recently completed third grade and shares his sister’s love for drawing. His specialty is cars. He, too, is active in the Boy Scouts.

The Presbyterian Build home being constructed is supported by the following local Presbyterian churches. The Habitat representatives are responsible for recruiting volunteers within their congregations and coordinating meals for the volunteers at the job site. The churches meet the first Monday of every month throughout the year.

Past Presbyterian Build
In 2007, the Presbyterian Build kicked off in Stockwell with Habitat homeowner, Crystal Wilson and her family. Thank you to the Presbyterian Churches and friends and family who helped build the house!!
