United Methodist Churches of Greater Lafayette Join Grace United Methodist Church in Celebrating 50th Anniversary with Habitat Build!

Grace United Methodist Church has been in Lafayette for 150 years, and in their present location for the last 50 years. A part of their celebration is spearheading the sponsoring and building of a new Habitat home for the Harshbarger/Cochran Family. The Wall Raising ceremony took place on June 4, 2011.

Grace United Methodist church along with the United Methodist Churches of Greater Lafayette raised the sponsorship money for the costs of the home and members of the congregations will be volunteering to build the home with supervision provided by staff of Habitat for Humanity of Lafayette.

The Habitat partner family is Curtis Harshbarger and Crystal Cochran along with their three sons, Dakota (5 yr.)  Demar (3 yr.) and Dekai (2 yr).
